I am a Certified CanFitPro Personal Trainer, Nutrition and Wellness and Older Adult Specialist, as well as IFTA Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instruction. I have recently completed courses on Disordered Eating in Active and Sedentary Adults, nutrition coaching, anatomy and TRX to name a few.

I have been involved in the fitness industry for nearly a decade, and have been professionally employed as a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition & Wellness and Older Adult Specialist since 2012. I offer personal training and small group fitness classes, nutrition and lifestyle coaching. With my leadership, clients enjoy learning about resistance training, with or without equipment. I value and encourage functionality, longevity and injury prevention.

Weight loss is accomplished through gradual/long lasting life skills coaching, no B.S. common sense and NO DIETING. I especially enjoy working with those who are new to fitness. I can help you succeed through encouragement and easy to understand exercise protocols.

Clients count on my pursuit of professional accreditation to keep me competent in delivering top-notch coaching. My work’s purpose is aligned with my life’s purpose: Be healthful, embrace challenges, learn and have fun along the way!

Canadian-made, now living in beautiful South Carolina, I have tried and failed at living what I thought and was taught to be a balanced lifestyle. I learned that it was not me that was failing, it was the diets! I learned how to place value in an active lifestyle and have grown to LOVE my healthy, capable body!  I have survived and thrived from the fallout of past fitness and lifestyle choices. Helping others to achieve wellness by simplifying the steps necessary to achieve it, has become my life’s mission.

In addition to writing the occasional blog, I am employed in the fitness industry, helping personal training and small group sessions, as well as nutrition and lifestyle coaching. I am very aware of the influence I can have on a great number of people, both directly and indirectly. My work’s purpose is aligned with my life’s purpose: Help others learn the value of physical activity and live a balanced, healthful lifestyle.

I am passionate about empowering and inspiring others! I most often write about, and in response to, personal experiences in the health, fitness and nutrition industries, as well as in relation to those around me.

I am working on my auto-biography book called Peace by Piece. I hope to publish this year. It is my personal recounting of my life’s journey involving a 20+ year struggle with disordered eating, and how I have both survived and thrived from it! I’ve included in my book, medically supported information, descriptions and educational links that I feel are imperative in shedding light on disordered eating. The book will list helpful links to nationally recognized support groups, disordered eating focused websites, organizations and other resources. I’ll be sharing snippets of it here as well!

In my spare time, I like to try almost anything once; especially if it involves being active, being outdoors, travel, volunteering and especially when it involves chocolate.
